Experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C)/ Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) Needed!Aberdeen, WA - Full-Time, Ongoing ContractJob DescriptionAre you looking to live rent-free on the beautiful Washington coast? Maxim Staffing in Seattle is currently hiring an experienced ARNP or PA-C who is interested in an ongoing contract in Aberdeen, WA.
This position operates in a corrections environment; your imperative position would be to maintain the health of the adult male incarcerated population.
Housing options in beautiful nearby coastal towns Ocean Shores and Westport!o Contract- Ongoing (Potential for Temp to Perm).
6 month minimum commitment preferred.
o Day Shift:
8-Hour Days, Monday-Friday (4-10s also available if preferred)Compensation:
Personalized Pay Packages - Travelers are eligible for:
o Competitive Hourly Pay!Tax-Free Hourly Housing Stipend or Housing compensated fully by Maxim (in Aberdeeon or on the Coast!)o Tax-Free Hourly Meals Stipend/ Mileage for commutes over 50 mileso Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits Eligibility Starting shortly afterResponsibilities Include:
o Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physician in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care; record the normal and abnormal data for review by the physician.
o Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations; write progress notes; prepare patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings; obtain psychosocial history relevant to patient care, and assume responsibility for developing therapeutic relationships with patients.
o Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
o Carry out therapeutic procedures such as cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes; monitor progress of patients, report progress to supervising physician, and maintain record of each patient's progress, consulting with supervising physician when patient's progress does not meet anticipated and/or predetermined criteria.
o Provide patient education.
o Other duties as assigned.
Qualificationso Corrections Medical Center strongly preferred!o Experience in Urgent Care, Emergency or Family Practice preferred but not required.
o Current Washington State Licensure; Work requires completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or PA program.
o BLS certification necessary before start of assignmento Other requirements include:
